Things To Know About Air Compressors

Hello Readers,

Before I start my talks on this topic, Let Me Introduce - may nen khi chat luong

Established for over 150 years, Gardner Denver is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of compressed air and gas, vacuum and fluid transfer technologies.

With Gardner Denver your business will achieve even greater success through a dedicated partnership with the industry leader in compressed air technology.

I already joined their team at Facebook | Google Plus | Twitter | YouTube

Air compressors have numerous applications in industry and are used in various fields, including automation and assembly, chemical manufacturing, agriculture and construction. All compressors work by converting power from an external source, such as an electric motor or diesel engines, into stored energy which can be released in the form of pressurised air. The pressurized air is then used to power tools and machinery.

Compresses are used for a variety of purposes from powering pneumatic or power tools (like nailers, and staplers) blowing dust and debris off/out of those power tools, or as an inflation device for tires, flotation devices, and etc. Available in a variety of sizes and capacities, air compressors are versatile and surprisingly long-lasting; a good model could certainly last a lifetime if properly cared for. Using compressor powered pneumatic tools offers a number of benefits; pneumatically powered tools tend to be more brawny than those powered with strictly electricity, they offer greater torque and higher RPM for quick work and rapid firing. Pneumatic tools also offer an environmentally friendly alternative to toxic battery waste.

Reciprocating compressors are positive displacement compressors, where air is reduced in volume to increase its pressure. Reciprocating contain pumps driven by pistons with a cylinder compressing and displacing the air. There are two types, direct drive compressors and belt drive compressors. Belt drive compressors are more durable and able to deliver higher pressures. Reciprocating compressors are available in single stage and multi stage. Multi stage compressors deliver higher pressures and are more efficient, meaning lower electricity consumption and lower costs. Reciprocating compressors are often portable and suitable for trades people involved in construction and similar fields.

Location is very important when choosing a compressor. This is the first thing to consider and will determine what type of air compressor you need. If you are going to work in an enclosed area with the compressor, we recommend an electric powered unit with a low noise rating. The noise rating is measured in db and the lower the number, the lower the noise. Compressors these days are much more quiet than older models, and some operate at levels as low as 60 db. At this level you would be able to have a normal conversation, standing next to it. Gas powered compressors are not recommended for use in enclosed areas with no ventilation.

Industrial air compressors are also used in a wide range of industrial and manufacturing applications, where the use of pneumatic tools is more efficient than other options. Virtually every major production factory has one or more industrial compressors that are used to power a wide range of tools and systems within the factory or plant. Pneumatic tools and devices are inherently more energy effective and less polluting than most of the alternatives available, so they play a key role in almost all major factories, regardless of the product being made or the type of work being done. Many of the largest factories have their industrial air compressors custom built to meet their very specific and exacting demands, and there is an entire industry devoted exclusively to building and maintaining these customized compressors.
